New Era Racecraft - About Us

About NEw era racecraft

With more than 40 years of combined experience, Kyle Kirker and Steve Morris put New Era Racecraft on the cutting edge of speed and power for the new era of high performance racing.

KYLE KIRKER

Kyle's passion for all things fast has been in his blood since birth, a trait that was passed to him by his father. At 17 he purchased his well-known 1955 Bel-Air, and still races it to this day.

In 1992 Kyle began working as a fabricator at the Chassis Shop in Mears, MI. While working, he acquired his associates degree in CAD/CAM and Manufacturing. Using this knowledge he continued working days as a designer, while spending his evenings fabricating some of the fastest drag cars of the 90's. In 1999 the evening projects turned into a full-time business, Kirker Racing. The chassis based business evolved to custom component fabrication for such businesses as Nitrous Express, DTS and Bullseye Power. Kirker Racing is still feeling growth in the manufacturing business, but it is Kyle's desire to focus his knowledge and passion on individual cars again. It's the satisfaction of seeing one of his projects through to a successful finish at the racetrack that he is most passionate about. With the creation of New Era Racecraft, it will become a reality.

STEVE MORRIS

Steve Morris began his career in the engine business in 1989, working in a small speed shop and in 1995 took a job at Dart Cylinder Heads in Troy, MI. Steve was hired on as a engine builder for Richard Maskins NHRA ProStock engine leasing programs, but decided to leave a few years later to open his own business Steve Morris Racing Engines. This new venture steadily built a quality clientele and allowed Steve to increase his knowledge base of high power engines, eventually moving into ProCharger engine development. This change in focus increased business to the volume that in January of 2007, Steve sold Steve Morris Racing Engines to a former customer. Steve continued to play an influential roll at SMRE, but in October 2008 decided to take his career and passion in a different direction with New Era Racecraft.

Steve Morris has become one of leaders in ProCharger engine development for the last several years, and has been developing high power Turbo engines along with a host of naturally aspirated max effort engines such as SS/AH Hemi programs. New Era Racecraft welcomes Steve and is proud to have his extensive background and knowledge as a base for this exciting new business.
